I absolutely love shows like this that don't follow the "happy ever after" ending. Happy endings are far too unrealistic and it irritates me. I sunk into such incredible depression in my late-20s because i couldn't find my "happy ever after" as portrayed in every single show/movie i ever watched as a child, in my teens and my early 20s. It's such a huge, devastating lie. The first movie i ever saw that didn't follow the traditional "happy ever after" was "the age of innocence" and it completely changed my view point and helped me to see that all the other movies were purely fantasy. There needs to be more shows/movies like this!

Not gonna lie it baffles me when people in starting seasons are team Damon especially those who are rewatching the show. However what baffled me the most about this reaction is not that you guys are team Damon but the total misjudgment of Stefan's character. All he did was try to protect what he have and others around him but he gets hate for simply using his vampire side to some extent, that too only with people who deserves it.

BRYCE NEEDS TO NOT PICK A SIDE. He should wait for THE moment. My moment was last episode with Damon confessing. Letting go of the girl he loves. He became the better brother and let go of Elena. And that tear drop ❤ i was sold. There are so MANY more characters and so mcuh more growth for the present characters. So i would advice you to wait bryce. You might actually end up loving the unexpected ones. So wait for that moment. 😅
